The Future Is Fractional

Engagements run 10–30 hrs/week, scoped to what the team actually needs — not a full-time seat filled halfway.

01

Fractional Production Leadership

Embedded, part-time production ownership — scheduling, milestone tracking, and cross-discipline alignment without a full-time headcount commitment.

02

External Development & Co-Dev Pipelines

Standing up and running external partner relationships — the discipline that lifted partner output 50% at Firaxis and ran cross-continental co-dev at Retro Studios.

03

Live-Service & Post-Launch Transitions

Moving a team from base-game completion into live-ops rhythm — content cadence, cross-department process, sustainable pace.

04

AI-Fluent Workflow Integration

Bringing AI tooling into production process deliberately — where it speeds a lean team up, and where human judgment has to stay in the loop.

About

A checkpoint, not a detour

Game production leader who believes great games start with great teams. Over 13 years I've brought structure and calm leadership to projects from concept to credits — across AAA franchises, live-service operations, and scrappy indie ports alike.

Most recently, back-to-back contract engagements at Aspyr Media and Flaming Fowl — running production for in-flight titles and standing up pipelines from scratch. That's the fractional model already in practice, not just in theory.

Save Room is the pause built into every run — a place to stabilize, take stock, and keep going stronger. That's what I bring to a team mid-production: not a detour, a checkpoint.

In Their Words

What collaborators say

Arriving to the team after a successful launch of Marvel's Midnight Suns, with an excellent foundation of outsourcing management, Nick helped to elevate our existing disciplines, integrating them expertly into the full creative process. He's adaptable, always hungry to learn more, is highly organized, and is a calm presence in sometimes choppy seas.

Dennis Shirk · Executive Producer, Firaxis Games

He jumped into a difficult production pipeline and not only navigated the challenges but also refined it into a far more efficient and effective process. If you're looking for a strong production or outsourcing manager/producer who truly cares about people and results, Nick is a fantastic choice!

Justin Drust · Studio Audio & Narrative Director, Firaxis Games

He is one of those producers that you use as an example of professionalism and accountability. His laidback demeanor permeates the teams that he leads. I've often joked that he is the Art Sherpa, since he knows how to show his team safe ways over difficult mountains.

Koen Wooten · Producer, directly managed Nick (Rooster Teeth)

Even though we were working across different/opposite time zones and different cultures, Nick still managed to keep the communication super efficient and naturally brings high working efficiency for both teams across the Pacific Ocean.

Owen Shen · Senior Producer & BD Manager, outsourcing partner (Rooster Teeth)

Nick understands that successful outsourcing is about relationships and trust, and handles complex workflows with a steady hand. He's a great add to any team, and I'd be thrilled to work with him again in the future.

Will Miller · Chief Technology Officer, Midsummer Studios

Best Producer I have ever had. He isn't the type to disappear into a back office after giving orders — he was hands on, with the team, all day, every day to support us and keep the project moving forward.
